Baymax
Baymax is the inflatable robot from the Disney film Big Hero 6. He is created by Tadashi Hamada and designed to be a personal healthcare companion. After Tadashi’s death, Baymax is inherited by Hiro Hamanda and becomes part of a superhero team called Big Hero 6. Baymax’s sole purpose is to take care of “his people”.
The Happy Ride
Baymax’s ride at Tokyo Disneyland looks alot like Alien Swirling Saucers in Toy Story Land at Disney’s Hollywood Studios. The rides contains 22 Baymax cars that whip around to loud and fun music just like those little aliens. There are strobe lights to go with the music to increase those happiness levels!
The ride is set to open as part of The New Fantasyland on September 28th. Other new rides in the Tokyo Disneyland expansion in include “The Enchanted Tale of Beauty and the Beast“. The almost $3 billion expansion has been very much anticipated by Disney fans worldwide.
The ride was originally intended to open on April 15, 2020, but was delayed after the park’s closure due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
