Disneyland Ramping Up? We’ll Soon See!
Disneyland rumors ran rampant today (and this past weekend) on social.
However, there’s nothing solid to report except that there will be some sort of news availability tomorrow.
Veteran theme-park types confirmed:
The Walt Disney Company has scheduled a press conference for Tuesday to share updates on Disney Parks operations around the world. Could a Disneyland reopening date be announced? pic.twitter.com/aOAysdrmGY

Meanwhile, Mouseplanet reported:
Disney has scheduled a webcast presentation for invited media on Tuesday, September 22, to provide an update on parks and resort operations around the world during the pandemic. (We originally called it a press conference, but this description is more precise.) The panel includes Disney executives from both Walt Disney World and the Disneyland Resort and ends with remarks from Disney Parks chairman Josh D’Amaro.
The Best Life & Beyond blog spotted D’Amaro walking through Disney California Adventure last week with Kris Theiler, vice president of Disneyland, and a number of sites have shared photos on social media showing plexiglass barriers, physical distancing signage, and hand-sanitizing stations visible inside the entrances of both theme parks. It seems clear that Disneyland is preparing the parks to reopen just as soon as it gets the go-ahead from the state.
Excitement in Anaheim
And, you can watch Adam The Woo (of “TheDailyWoo” on YouTube) meet up with Spencer Emmons of “The Best Life & Beyond.”
The pair pointed out the many different items mentioned above AND noted the different vibe from the massive line of people waiting to get into Downtown Disney.
And, perhaps most importantly, the vloggers saw and actually exchanged pleasantries with Josh D’Amaro!
Later, Mr. The Woo said in his comments section, “Just my thoughts and prediction. Nothing as of this moment has been officially announced but it’s looking good.”
It’s Looking Good At Disneyland
And he’s not kidding, it IS looking good in Anaheim. Check out his walkaround:
Then, you can see another angle from “Best Life & Beyond”:
Finally, the best piece of the Best Life vid is the clear confab happening between some obvious DCA managers near the front of that theme park.
Honestly, this is some pretty good reporting from Southern California. And, while I am really wanting everyone to be safe and take care of each other, the experience at Walt Disney World indicates that The Walt Disney Company has a handle on their safety procedures.
Stay tuned, Mouseketeers. It’s an exciting time in Anaheim.
BTW: Huge props to Adam and Spencer. Some really excellent reporting. Way to put yourselves in the right place at the right time!
