The Festive ‘Olu Mel Cupcake is Here for a Limited Time
It was a big day today for our MickeyBloggers. Not only did they get the scoop on the newest Fall and Halloween decorations at Magic Kingdom, but they managed to check out the new ‘Olu Mel cupcake at Disney’s Polynesian Resort. The cupcake is only around for a limited time, so be quick to get yours soon.
‘Olu Mel is the seaturtle pal of Mickey Mouse and Duffy the Bear. He made his debut at Aulani on July 27th, 2018. The story is that Mickey and Duffy were looking for the perfect gift for their friend ShellieMae, and ‘Olu volunteered a song on his ukulele. His picture can be found as a topper on the new cupcake.
The seashells, tropical colors and hidden Mickeys on the cupcake all fit into ‘Olu Mel’s Hawaiian story and the Poly’s decor. The inside of the cupcake is chocolate filled with coconut cream. The icing is buttercream and the seashells are made of chocolate.
The cupcake also has while, crispy pearls and a glittery finish.
The ‘Olu Mel cupcake can be found at Captain Cook’s at Disney’s Polynesian Resort for $5.99. Right beside the equally as tropical ‘Olu Mel soft serve ice cream. Both are exclusive to Captain Cook’s. Here is the label on the back of the cupcake listing ingredients and nutritional information.
Other ‘Olu Mel items include: Plush Keychains, Crossbody Bags and Magnets. But, there is a limit on the amount of merchandise one guest can purchase.
So, even if you are in the Fall or Halloween spirit right now, don’t forget to stop by Captain Cook’s and grab some tropical deliciousness while you are visiting Florida.
