Magic Kingdom Putting Down Markers For Halloween Cavalcade
Happy Monday Disney Friends! We are back at the Magic Kingdom today and if you’ve been following along with us you know that the Halloween decorations are starting to go up on Main Street U.S.A. As we were walking through Frontierland and Liberty Square this morning we noticed that cast members were busy laying down tape on the ground at certain areas along the walkways.
We spoke to some cast members in the area and they said that these are physical distance markers being put into place.
This is apparently to ensure that guests are able to enjoy the new Halloween Cavalcades coming to the theme parks this Autumn while maintaining the COVID-19 social distancing requirements!
As you can see the roped off areas are along the walkway from Liberty Square market into Frontierland.
An employee said that some of the narrower areas where people tend to bunch up are being marked so that they can keep people out of the route of the cavalcades.
These markers are very similar to the ones placed for the Festival of Fantasy parade prior to COVID-19.
However, the cavalcades will be a different experience. They have been devised to give guests a chance to see their favorite Disney characters since meet and greets are suspended just now.
Though Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween parties have been cancelled for 2020 Disney will still be offering select Halloween activities and for the first time ever guests will be able to wear costumes to the theme parks during the day.
