Disneyland Warns Guests That Downtown Disney May Experience Attendance Caps This Weekend
With Labor Day Weekend in full swing, DIsneyland is taking the time to let guests know that larger than usual crowds can be expected at Downtown Disney. With new social distancing procedures being put into place, Disney is putting a cap on the number of guests allowed into Disneyland’s downtown shopping district. In addition they are expecting traffic congestion and parking limitations.
You can check out their official tweet below:

As you can see from the notification above Disney is advising that you allow extra time for your arrival and that Disneyland may need to pause parking and pedestrian entry. They also note that guests with dining reservations will be given priority.

In a separate tweet, Disneyland sent out a message to guests letting them know that they will be pausing parking and entry into Downtown. It appears that this happened at around 2pm PST today.
Readers should not that as of going to print, both Disneyland theme parks as well as Disneyland’s three onsite hotels remain closed to guests. Disney is waiting for California Governor Gavin Newsom to approve reopening plans which will not happen until evidence of continued reduction of COVID-19 cases in the county.
Though Downtown Disney remains open there are new health and safety policies worth noting included reduced capacity, temperature checks and the mandatory use of facemask. Due to capacity restrictions throughout the holiday weekend, we here at MickeyBlog recommend that guests check @DisneylandToday on Twitter before planning your visit to avoid being turned away.
