New Physical Distancing Markers on Main Street
Last week we reported about the new physical distancing markers that were laid down at the front entrance of Magic Kingdom. As soon as you come off the monorail or from the busses, they are laid as you approach to scan your band to enter the park.
Yesterday, MickeyBlog was in the Magic Kingdom and noticed new physical distancing marked placed up and down Main Street.
They start right at the beginning of Main Street and go down to Casey’s Corner. We counted 32 on the right side of the street and 33 on the left side of the street. They put them there to enforce physical distancing as guests were starting to gather close to each other whether to watch a character cavalcade or to take advantage of the PhotoPass Photographers.
Guests are to gather on those makers with their parties when standing to watch a cavalcade. This ensures proper distancing.
Disney has taken many new safety measures to keep guests and Cast Members safe.

Physical distancing if a very important safety measure these days, and Disney takes it seriously.
Physical distancing measures may include:
- Signage and Ground Markings: Please follow directional signage and ground markings, which have been installed throughout Walt Disney World Resort to help Guests better navigate common areas while practicing physical distancing.
- Physical Barriers: Physical barriers have been added in select places where it is difficult to maintain strict physical distancing guidelines. These may be visible in areas around cash registers or at Guest Relations, for example, to help promote proper distances between people.
- Training: We are also training Cast Members to engage with Guests and promote physical distancing guidelines in common areas and queues.
