The Imagen Award program was inspired by iconic television writer/producer Norman Lear (“The Jeffersons,” “ALL IN THE FAMILY”) in 1985. Latinx in Hollywood continue to make small strides with a 55% increase in entries from last year. This year’s awards include three new categories: Best Director in Television, Best Music Composition for Film and Television and Best Music Supervision for Film and Television.
The Imagen Awards nominees are determined by an independent panel of entertainment industry executives and Latino community leaders. This is a story that we’ll continue to follow closely here at MickeyBlog. Readers are encouraged to keep checking in with us for further DIsney-related news and updates!
