Disneyland Reveals Cast Member Care Packages
Over the past few weeks we here at MickeyBlog have been covering some of the measures that Disney World is taking to keep cast members safe since the theme parks reopened last month. Tonight we turn our attention to the West Coast as Disney readies itself for the inevitable reopening of both Disneyland and Disney California Adventure. With Downtown Disney already open and more cast members being called back to work, Disneyland has taken to the their Cast & Community Instagram page to give us a sneak peek of the care packages that cast members that are returning to work can pick up!
Here’s a look at the official post:
As you can see from the post above, the kit includes the following:
- Company-issued face coverings
- Hand Sanitizer
- Cast resources
- A hand tote to keep all your goodies together.
This is just one of the many steps that Disneyland will be implementing to keep both guests and cast members safe while at the theme parks. It should be noted that as of going to print, Disneyland has yet to announce a reopening date for either of its theme parks or for the three onsite Disneyland hotels. The parks were originally slated to open in mid-July around the same time as Walt Disney World but these plans were put on hiatus by Governor Gavin Newsom who refused to sign off on theme park proposals until the amount of COVID-19 cases started to decrease.
The only segment of Disneyland Resort that is currently open is the the downtown shopping district. This includes select shops and restaurants. However, it should also be noted that due to government restrictions dining at the eateries at Downtown Disneyland are limited to al fresco dining only!
With care kits for cast members now a thing, we hope we’re inching ever closer to a reopening date for Disneyland! Keep following along with MickeyBlog and we promise to keep you posted!
