Imagineer Joe Rohde Shares The Inspiration For Animal Kingdom’s Awesome Architecture
For a Disney fan like me, Joe Rohde is as close as you get to a TOTAL ROCKSTAR! While in quarantine with his family during the COVID-19 shutdown, Joe and his family have created a 5-part series about the breathtaking design elements you’ll find at Disney’s Animal Kingdom Theme Park. It is this incredible attention to detail that makes Animal Kingdom my favorite Disney park and for those of us that won’t be to the parks anytime soon, it’s nice to have a virtual visit!
Over the past 40 years, during all of his research trips of Disney, Joe Rohde and his family have amassed an impressive collection of items. With writers, a director, cameraman and a producer in the family they pulled together photographs, video clips and more along with elements found around their home for a new series called “The Rohdes Less Travelled.”
Let’s dive in:
I absolutely love this video and the fact that it provides some incredible insights into the incredible craftsman ship you see in the buildings that make up the areas of Kali River Rapids and Expedition Everest. Know you can gaze at them with the knowledge that many of the wood carvings and other elements you see where hand-crafted in Nepal and brought to the Animal Kingdom. How incredible is that!?
We hope that Joe and his family continue sharing more theme park insights with us and we can’t wait to pass them on to you. So keep following along with MickeyBlog.
