Don’t—Thursday, July 30, at 9 p.m. ET on ABC
If you’ve yet to check out this awesome game show hosted by Adam Scott and excutive produced (with the odd cameo) by Ryan Reynolds, make it a priority this week. Thursday’s episode is titled, “Don’t Meet Your Heroes.” You’ll meet the Long family from Washington who will attempt to conquer the challenges “Don’t Miss,” “Don’t Embarrass Yourself,” “Don’t Beat Yourself Up,” “Don’t Blink,” and “Don’t Get Tired” in the hopes of winning $100,000.
Black Is King—Friday, July 31, on Disney+
Friday is the moment Beyonce fans have been waiting for- the release of a visual album that she wrote, directed and executive produced. The project was designed to reimagine the lessons of The Lion King for today’s young kings and queens in search of their own crowns. The project is based in the music of The Lion King: The Gift and features a star-studded line up including Lupita Nyong’o, Naomi Campbell, and Jay-Z, Black Is King is meant to be a celebratory memoir of the Black experience with songs like, “My Power,” “Mood 4 Eva,” “Brown Skin Girl,” and others. This incredible event promises to be a story for the ages featuring the voyages of Black families throughout time.
Muppets Now—Friday, July 31, on Disney+
It’s time to play the music, its time to light the lights! The Muppets brand new six-episode series is coming to Disney+ this Friday and holds the distinction of being the first unscripted show featuring the Muppets EVER! Scooter is rushing to make his delivery deadlines and upload the brand-new Muppet series for streaming. However, they are past due meaning that Scooter will have to overcome obstacles, distractions and complications throw at him by the rest of the Muppet gang. Viewers can expect a delightful blend of spontaneous insanity, surprising guests stars and more frogs, pigs, bears and chickens than are legally allowed! From zany experiments with Dr. Bunsen Honeydew and Beaker to lifestyle tips from Miss Piggy, each episode includes hilarious segments that showcase the Muppets at their finest!
Upside-Down Magic—Friday, July 31, at 8 p.m. ET on Disney Channel
Based on the New York Times bestselling children’s book, this Disney Channel Original Movie follows best friends Nory (Izabela Rose) and Reina (Siena Agudong) after they enroll at the Sage Academy for Magical Studios. While Reina’s ability to harness the power of fire puts her at the top of the class of Flares, Nory’s unpredictable magic and her ability to turn herself into a half-kitten, half-dragon lands her in a class for those with Upside-Down Magic. While Headmaster Knightslinger (Vicki Lewis) believes the UDM’s powers leave them vulnerable to shadow magic, a turn of events will prompt Nory to set out to prove that upside down magic is better than rightside up.
