Oogie Boogie Bash Has Been Cancelled at Disneyland Resort
Halloween is just around the corner and one thing that Disney does right, is Halloween. It was just announced by Disneyland officials that the Oogie Boogie Bash has been cancelled this year due to the ongoing Covid-19 pandemic. With the park not open yet, and no opening date announced, there was no way to plan for the event. No word on the Halloween decor at the parks. That will be announced at a later time.
In June, all of the Mickey’s Not So Scary Halloween Parties for 2020 were cancelled as well. While we were hopeful this special event would still be held, Disney decided that due to the current, unprecedented environment, it was best to cancel all parties.
Here was the official statement:
While assessing another fall special event, Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party, we determined that many of its hallmarks – stage shows, parades and fireworks – are unable to take place in this new, unprecedented environment. With that in mind, we have made the difficult decision to cancel this year’s Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party.
We all look forward to the festivities in 2021!
