Where Can I Find The Relaxation Stations At Walt Disney World?
If you’ve been following along with MickeyBlog since the reopening of Walt Disney World then you know that one of the new Health & Safety measures that Disney is adamant about is the wearing of face masks at the theme parks, Disney Springs and at resort common areas! This is an area where Disney will not budge. As a matter of fact they updated their policy earlier this week making it more stringent.
Here’s a look at the policy as it stands now:
So the only time that guests can be at Disney without a mask is when you’re stationary and eating. However, Disney does have one exception- designated locations at EACH of Walt Disney World’s theme parks dubbed “Relaxation Stations” where guests can go to get out of the sun and have some mask-free time. Some of these areas are located outside and others inside for those needing to take advantage of the air conditioning. For those wondering where you can find these areas during your visit, here’s everything you need to know.
Relaxation Stations At Walt Disney World Theme Parks
Magic Kingdom
- Tomorrowland Terrace- Between Main Street & Tomorrowland
- Refreshment Outpost – Between Adventureland & Frontierland
- Pete’s Silly Sideshow – Storybook Circus
EPCOT
- Akershus Royal Banquet Hall (indoors) – Norway Pavilion/World Showcase
- UK Pavilion near Rose & Crown
- Future World – Near Test Track & Mission Space
Hollywood Studios:
- Star Wars Galaxy’s Edge
- Star Wars Launch Bay (Indoors)
Animal Kingdom:
- Pizzafari – Discovery Island
- Upcountry Landing – Asia
When In Doubt, Check The Guidemap
During our visit to Magic Kingdom this week we noticed that all of the Disney theme park Guide Maps (which you can pick up at the entrance to each theme park or at your hotel reception desk) now have the relaxation stations indicated on the map. In the image above, you can see the Storybook Circus location clearly marked.
Are There Any Amenities At Relaxation Stations?
No. These are simply areas where guests can enjoy some mask-free time while maintaining social distancing. Most of the areas will have shaded areas and seating. We’ve also noticed that hand sanitizer stations are typically located at the entrance and exists of the stations. There are a few stations that do offer air conditioning for guests namely Star Wars Launch Bay and Akershus Royal Banquet Hall.
So if you’ll be visiting the theme parks in the weeks ahead and need to have a mask free moment be sure to see out one of these designated areas!
