Tokyo DisneySea Will Debut a New Nighttime Show in 2021
Fantasmic! left Tokyo DisneySea earlier this year. The nighttime spectacular ran for nine years. Since then, the park has not had a new nighttime show, but the resort has just released that Believe! Sea of Dreams will debut sometime in 2021’s fiscal year (April 1st, 2021-March 31st, 2022) at Tokyo Disney Sea.
The show will be part of the park’s 20th anniversary celebration. It will happen on the Mediterranean Harbor in Tokyo DisneySea. The Harbor has been under construction throughout the park’s closure (due to COVID-19) and this construction is most likely due to the show.
The show is designed to remind guests of the importance of dreams and believing in dreams according to the Oriental Land Company which owns and operates Tokyo Disney Sea. The show reportedly will run for about 20 minutes.
Statement from Oriental Land Company: “Believe! Sea of Dreams” will be presented on the waters of Mediterranean Harbor in Tokyo DisneySea. This grand, breath-taking performance will remind Guests of the importance of having a dream and always believing in it.
Tokyo DisneySea opened in September of 2001 and is home to several attractions, including their own versions of Toy Story Mania, Tower of Terror and Nemo and Friends. But, the highlight attractions are 20,000 Leagues Under the Sea and Journey to the Center of the Earth. Both highly themed thrill rides that can only be found at Tokyo DisneySea.
Tokyo DisneySea reopened in July 1st after over four months of closure due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
