Disney World’s Half-Empty Parks Mean Perfect Photo Ops
Though COVID-19 has meant a TON of restrictions at the theme parks, one of the perks is that physical distancing has meant that Disney has put a cap on crowd levels. There was a time when the only way you’d get shot of an empty Main Street USA was to be at the park for rope drop, rush ahead of the crowd and snap away. But now, fewer crowds mean the theme parks are a haven for those looking to get that perfect Disney World photo.
Just over the course of our visit to Disney, we’ve managed to capture some incredible shots of the the theme parks including the incredible transformation happening over at Cinderella Castle in the Magic Kingdom.
And even during the character cavalcades (a new way for guests to see characters since meet and greets and parades are cancelled) we’ve managed to have awesome sightlines. That’s mainly due to the fact that the cavalcades themselves are spontaneous occurrences happening throughout the day meaning that the crowds don’t have time to gather!
However, when it comes to selfies, as you’ll see from some of the Instagram posts below that were shared by Narcity, you do have facemasks to contend with. However, we here at MickeyBlog see it as yet another memento during the COVID-19 era.
Budding photographers are enjoying some pretty incredible vistas including Cinderella Castle, Main Street USA, The Hollywood Tower of Terror and more!

We’ve spoken to a lot of people that have visited the park over the last few weeks and one of the comments we’re consistently hearing is how many pictures guests are taking during their visits. Without crowds to contest with there are so many ways to capture and preserve a bit of that Disney magic!
And let’s be honest, we could all use a bit of that just now!
