Peter Pan Production Pushed Back
Firstly, our friend Skyler Shuler over at TheDisInsider.com, reported that production for the Live-Action Peter Pan reboot will push back production until 2021.
According to a DGC-BC production list, Peter Pan is expected to start filming under the working title Bonfire in Vancouver, Canada on March 8, 2021, and should wrap by June 30, 2021.
This is a hopeful sign, as major studios slowly restart their various productions by adding strict health and safety measures for cast and crew working on the projects.

Previously, production was supposed to begin in April of 2020.
Walt Disney’s classic animated film Peter Pan (1953) was the “Story of the magical boy who wouldn’t grow up who teaches the three Darling children—Wendy, John, and Michael—to fly to Never Land with him where they embark on adventures with the chief inhabitants, Captain Hook and his crew of pirates. The fairy, Tinker Bell, is jealous of Peter’s attention to Wendy and duped into helping Captain Hook. After rescuing the Indian princess, Tiger Lily, Peter must save his band, the Lost Boys, and the Darlings from Hook.”
Moreover, the original film was a musical that included famous songs like:
- “You Can Fly, You Can Fly, You Can Fly”
- “The Second Star to the Right”
- “Your Mother and Mine”
Also, DisInsider reported “David Lowery (Pete’s Dragon) is on board to direct. Toby Halbrooks, who co-wrote Pete’s Dragon, is on board wrote the most recent draft for the film. Jim Whitaker (A Wrinkle In Time) will be producing the project alongside Joe Roth (Maleficent: Mistress of Evil).”
