The Walls Are Down At “It’s A Small World”
It was a really small world inside the line queue for the classic Disney ride “It’s A Small World” when the Magic Kingdom opened on July 11th. Guests immediately noticed blue walls closing off the guests in line from the outside world. It is uncertain if these walls were for social distancing measures or were from work being done to the ride during the closure.
The Walls are Down
But, MickeyBlog is happy to report that today, July 17th, the walls are down.
“It’s A Small World” is looking like the ride we are used to in Fantasyland and you can now see inside the ride queue.
The extended queue, with social distancing markers, wraps around outside of the ride’s facade.
The crowd levels at Magic Kingdom continue to be low by design. Although, the queue is now open and extended, it does not look like the wait is long. Longer wait times were reported for “It’s a Small World” on opening day. This ride is usually not one guests feel like they need to fast pass, so it was surprising the wait time was longer. This is most likely due to cleaning and sanitizing of the boats.

Back to Normal
I think all guests will agree that every little bit helps, and although everyone was glad to return to the Magic Kingdom things like blue construction walls still made things seem just now right. Little steps like the removal of the walls make the Magic Kingdom seem like it is getting back to normal, even if it will still be awhile before that actually happens.
