Let’s Take a Look at the Modified Chef Mickey’s Experience
Chef Mickey’s in Disney’s Contemporary Resort as Walt Disney World reopened last week with a modified experience. We stopped by to take a closer look at what the popular restaurant looks like amid the temporary changes. Please note that these photos were taken when the restaurant was closed but we can confirm that even when it was open, the crowds were at a minimum.
The modified Chef Mickey’s features three main differences. They are:
- Breakfast is the only meal temporarily being offered.
- Meals are served family style with buffet stations being shut down.
- Characters are not on hand at this time.
The family style breakfast menu at Chef Mickey’s includes Mickey Waffles among other hot and cold favorites. Here is a look at the menu:
Custom breads, danishes, and mini muffins
Served with a selection of spreads, jams, jellies, and butter.
Chilled Selections
- Fruits of the season
- Smoked salmon with accompaniments
- Mini yogurt parfaits
- Assorted cold cuts and cheeses
Hot Selections
- Scrambled eggs
- Bacon
- Mickey Waffles
- Honey-glazed slow-roasted pit ham
- French toast sticks
- Sausage links
- Roasted kielbasa
- Potato-cheese casserole
- Mini pancakes and syrup
- Tater bites
In addition, Magical Morning Cocktails are also available including a Bloody Mary and Cranberry-Orange Mimosa.
With character experiences being temporarily suspended, the cost of breakfast at Chef Mickey’s has been significantly decreased. Adults (ages 10+) are now just $25.00 and children (ages 3 to 9) are $14.00.
While characters have been temporarily suspended at the modified Chef Mickey’s experience, there are other locations to see your favorite characters while enjoying a meal. Mickey Mouse, Pluto, Chip, and Dale are currently on hand for all meals at Garden Grill in EPCOT. While outside the Parks, Mickey and Minnie Mouse as well as Donald and Daisy Duck are at breakfast in Topolino’s in Disney’s Riviera Resort.
Remember, this modified experience at Chef Mickey’s is only temporary. We anticipate other meals as well as our favorite Disney Pals to be added back into the mix in the near future!
