Updated Security Screening at TTC
Before hopping on the monorail to Magic Kingdom this morning, Cast Members and guests experienced an updated Security Screening at the TTC (Ticket and Transportation Center).
The new screening process is similar to what we have already seen at Disney Springs and entry requires the following:
- Face Coverings
- Temperature Screening
- Physical Distancing
While maintaining social distancing, guests will move through the line for temperature checks. As you can see, a shaded area is provided allowing guests to cool off from the Florida sun so their temperature screening is accurate.
Once given the all-clear with their temperature, guests will head toward the new and improved security screening area.
Gone are the days of bag checks! Instead, guests now take a plastic bag and place all their metal and electronic items in the bag. Next, they will carry the bag and simply walk through the screening point.
The new technology that Disney is utilizing for this process seems to be reducing the time spent in security- especially for those carrying diaper bags and backpacks!

Security Screening at Disney Springs
After 4 longs months of closure, this morning Walt Disney World Parks has reopened for a Cast Member Preview and soon to follow will be the Annual Passholder Preview. Walt Disney World Parks will soon open to the general public beginning on July 11th.
Since your last visit to Walt Disney World Resort, there have been many changes such as the new requirement for Park Passes. In addition to park tickets, guests are now required to make reservations via the new Park Pass System in order to maintain a limited capacity at the parks.
Let us know what you think about the new security screening process in the comments below. And be sure to keep following along with MickeyBlog for exciting updates as the Walt Disney World Resort begins to reopen the beloved parks!
