Family and Friends Pay Tribute to Cameron Boyce On The Anniversary Of His Death
It is so hard to believe that one year ago today, Disney lost one of its most beloved stars – Cameron Boyce. On the one year anniversary of his death, the Disney Channel star is being honoured by his family, friends and co-stars on social media.
This morning Cameron’s father Victory Boyce paid tribute to Cameron with a photo of his son on a trampoline. Let’s take a look:
Cameron’s close friends, many of them who starred alongside Boyce on Disney Channel, shared some of their favorite memories with the actor who was only 20 when he passed.
Let’s start with Skai Jackson who starred with Boyce on the hit show Jessie. She shared a video of her friend lip-syncing and dancing with a caption that reads, “1 year without you Cameron. I miss you so much, I think about you always.”

On Monday afternoon, Cameron’s close friend and co-star on the Descendants films, Dove Cameron let a heartfelt message on Instagram saying, “One year without your light. Something cosmic broke the day you left, something seemingly so impossible, so unjust, so unnatural.” She added, “The universe cannot repair the gap in her weaving. You were huge. I will love you forever, just like this.”
Another co-star of Cameron’s in Descendants, Sofia Carson also took to Instagram which you can see below. She said, “To our angel, It’s been 365 days of missing you. And every day, we miss you a little more. Not having you, hurts too much. But somehow, you still manage to light up our whole entire world. Our Cam. Our forever boy. Our sunshine wearing shoes. I miss you. So much. I love you. And I will love you. Forever.”

Last July, the world woke astonished to the news of Cameron Boyce’s passing. His family confirmed that his death was due to complications from epilepsy. His family said in a statement at the time, “The world is now undoubtedly without one of its brightest lights, but his spirit will live on through the kindness and compassion of all who knew and loved him.”
At the time the Disney Channel also released this statement, “From a young age, Cameron Boyce dreamed of sharing his extraordinary artistic talents with the world. As a young man, he was fueled by a strong desire to make a difference in peoples’ lives through his humanitarian work. He was an incredibly talented performer, a remarkably caring and thoughtful person and, above all else, he was a loving and dedicated son, brother, grandson and friend.
