Colin Kaepernick Signs Deal with Disney To Develop Content for ESPN, Walt Disney Television and More
Former NFL Player, Colin Kaepernick has just inked a deal with the Walt Disney Company to develop content that features scripted and unscripted stories exploring race, social injustices, and the quest for equity. Content will also spotlight the work done by Black and Brown producers and directors and include a docuseries on Kaepernick’s life and time in the NFL.
The content created by The Walt Disney Company and Colin Kaepernick will be aired on Walt Disney Television, ESPN, Hulu, Pixar, and ESPN’s The Undefeated.

The docuseries in development will give viewers a chance to here directly from Kaepernick about his life. Through interviews and never-seen-before footage from the past five years, Kaepernick will get to learn about life directly from his point of view.
“I am excited to announce this historic partnership with Disney across all of its platforms to elevate Black and Brown directors, creators, storytellers, and producers, and to inspire the youth with compelling and authentic perspectives,” said Kaepernick. “I look forward to sharing the docuseries on my life story, in addition to many other culturally impactful projects we are developing.”

Colin has had a singular path as both an athlete and an activist, and, as the nation continues to confront racism and social injustice, it feels particularly relevant to hear Colin’s voice on his evolution and motivations.”
