Find Out How Much the NBA Bubble at Walt Disney World Will Cost the NBA
Later this week, NBA teams will begin arriving at the NBA Bubble in Walt Disney World to restart the 2019-2020 season. To keep everyone involved well protected from COVID-19, the NBA has created this bubble for players, coaches, and staff to play, stay, and dine in. But, just like everything else at Disney, that bubble isn’t going to come cheap!
Brian Windhorst of ESPN reported in a recent podcast that the NBA will be shelling out $1.5 million dollars a day or $150 million for the entire “stay” in the NBA Bubble that is scheduled to being this week and will run until the NBA Finals have ended in early to mid October.
UPDATE: I just listed to the podcast and Brian Windhorst CLEARLY says he was told the cost is $1.5 million/day for a TOTAL COST of $150 million.

So, what will the NBA be receiving for that hefty 1.5 million price tag? Pretty much what we all dream of – private, VIP access to the Walt Disney World Resort! Three Resort Hotels will host the teams including Disney’s Beach Club Resort, Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort & Spa, and the Gran Destino Tower at Disney’s Coronado Springs Resort. Fencing has been installed around each of these three Resorts and oversize custom beds with custom mattresses have been fabricated for players.
In addition, Resort pools will also be open at each of the NBA Resort Hotels where teams are staying.
But, that’s not all! All involved in the NBA Bubble will have access to VIP lounges; manicure and pedicurists; access to movies before they are released to the general public including “Black Widow;” and private DJ sets. In addition, it is being rumored that teams will be able to take select private tours at the Parks and privately dine at Walt Disney World restaurants.
So, next time you think of the price of your Walt Disney World vacation, remember it won’t even come close to what the NBA is spending for their Bubble!
