The Walt Disney World Swan and Dolphin Will Remain Closed To Guests Through July
With select Walt Disney World resorts opening up over the last few weeks and Walt Disney World getting ready to open its theme parks in two weeks, there’s been much speculation as to plans over at the Disney World Swan and Dolphin properties. However, according to a post on Twitter today, it looks as if the Swan and Dolphin will remain closed until later this month and that the property is emailing guests to offer them alternate accommodation.
Let’s take a look:

As you can see from Brooke Geiger McDonald’s post above, the Swan and Dolphin are reaching out to guests to let them know that both sister properties will remain closed through July 29, 2020. They are advising those with existing reservations that this is due to the pandemic. All guests with bookings are being offered alternative accommodation. This is at the NEW JW Marriott Orlando Bonnet Creek Resort and Spa.
The new property is categorized as a luxury resort and a Bonvoy category 6. It includes a Spa by JW, resort pool and splash pad. As you can see from the image above, there is a rooftop terrace offering nightly views of the theme park fireworks displays. The property also offers resort shuttle bus transportation to the Walt Disney World theme parks and Disney Springs is just minutes away.
Swan and Dolphin July bookers are being notified that they will have the same rates, dates and room types as those on their original booking.
