VIDEO: Disney Debuts Trailer For New Frozen 2 Documentary Series ‘Into the Unknown’
There is so much work involved in making a Disney animated film that we are constantly in awe of the finished product. And though the end result is magical, as a recent piece in Collider suggests, there are plenty of false starts, speed bumps and unexpected problems along the way.
If you’ve ever wondered about what goes on behind the scenes of an animated blockbuster then you won’t want to miss Into the Unknown: Making Frozen 2. This new docuseries on Disney+ by filmmaker Megan Harding is simply not to be missed if the trailer released today by Disney is anything to go by!
The main challenge in bringing the sequel to the insanely successful Frozen to life was the wait and responsibility to audiences of all ages that had fallen in love with the original film. As Josh Gad, the voice of Olaf says in the trailer, “The challenge is carrying on what people fell in love with in the first movie.”
The docu-series is a must-watch for Frozen fans and also features appearances by Kristen Bell (Anna), Robert Lopez & Kristen Anderson-Lopez (songwriters), Idina Menzel (Elsa), Jonathon Groff (Kristoff) and Sterling K. Brown (Lieutenant Destin Mattias.)
The series will follow the creative team as they enter the final year of production for Frozen 2. As director Chris Buck says of the project, “It’s probably the toughest time in production when you’re a year out, it’s when all the balls are up in the air and the balls start falling.”
Perfect for binge-watching, all of the episodes will debut on Disney+ this Friday (June 27th.)
