Temporary Changes Coming to Disney PhotoPass Service Upon Walt Disney World Reopening
Rumors have been circulating the last several weeks that Walt Disney World would be completely suspending the Disney PhotoPass Service upon reopening. I am happy to confirm that rumor is FALSE! However, there will be some changes to the photo taking service when the Resort begins welcoming Guests again.
Per an official statement from Walt Disney World, “To promote cleanliness, physical distancing, and reduced contact, you will notice some temporary adjustments to Disney PhotoPass Service to provide an enjoyable environment for everyone:
- Handling Personal Devices: Disney PhotoPass photographers will not handle Guests’ personal devices such as cell phones and cameras.
- Photo Props Will Still Be In Use: However, they will be thoroughly cleaned between Guests. For select props, your photographer may request that you stand next to or behind the prop without making contact with it. In these scenarios, your photographer will endeavor to capture your photos with the best angles and perspective in mind.
- Photo Linking: Before the Disney PhotoPass photographer takes your photo, please have your MagicBand or card ready for the photographer to scan so they can quickly ink your photos to your account. Photographers will keep as much distance as possible during this process.
The Disney PhotoPass Service is a great way to have all of your photos taken at various locations around the Parks by professional Disney photographers. Pictures from park attractions are also included as part of the service.
In addition, Walt Disney World Guests can purchase the MemoryMaker option. This option gives the access to download all photos in your PhotoPass account for one low fee. The cost is $169 if your purchase it within three days prior to your arrival date and $199 if you purchase it inside of three days. There is also an option for a one-day pass at a discounted rate.
I am happy the Disney PhotoPass service will be offered when upon the initial reopening of Walt Disney World! Most of the photos I have from past visits are my absolute favorites of my family and friends!
