5 Incredible Shows That Are Not-To-Be-Missed This Week
This week, we celebrate Pride Month with the exciting new release of Hulu’s Love, Victor. The complete first season will debut on Wednesday and should definitely be your top candidate for your weekly binge watch. Other highlights of the week include the first episode of Taste the Nation with Padma Lakshmi, the Ryan Reynolds-produced game show Don’t and more! Let’s take a look at five of our favorites.
Love, Victor—Wednesday, June 17, on Hulu
Set in the world of the groundbreaking film Love, Simon, this six-episode series follows Victor (Michael Cimino) a new student at Creekwood High School and his journey of self-discovery. He faces challenges at home, adjusts to a new city, explores his sexual orientation and leans on Simon to help him navigate through the highs and lows of high school. The drama stars Mateo Fernandez, Isabella Ferreira, Mason Gooding, Rachel Naomi Hilson, James Martinez, Ana Ortiz, George Sear, Anthony Turpel, and Bebe Wood.
Don’t—Thursday, June 18, at 9 p.m. ET on ABC
If you missed last week’s episode of our NEW favorite game show – be sure you “DON’T” this week. Adam Scott invites a Los Angeles family to show off their upside-down-baseball-catching, tug-of-war-rope-pulling, slingshot-fire-extinguishing skills. The one and only Ryan Reynold’s is executive producer of the series and if last week was anything to go by he has a few tricks up his sleeve. Be sure to tune in on Thursday to find out.
Taste the Nation with Padma Lakshmi—Thursday, June 18, on Hulu
Join Padma Lakshmi as she takes audiences on a culinary journey across America exploring the rich and diverse food cuisines of immigrant groups who heavily shaped what American food is today. The series premiere starts with Lakshmi eating her way through the border city of El Paso, Texas to discover the origins of “Burritos at the Border.”
Schoolhouse Rock!—Now Streaming on Disney+
How’s this for a blast from the past, Disney+ has surprised subscribers by adding this wonderfully retro series to its library. Head on over to Disney’s streaming network to check out such classics as “I’m Just a Bill”, “Three is a Magic Number” and “Conjunction Junction.”
Disney Gallery: The Mandalorian—Friday, June 19, on Disney+
In the season finale to this incredible series, Disney Legend Jon Favreau and Dave Filoni look back at some of the Star Wars characters and props that made their way into episodes of The Mandalorian. Trust us when we say that there are a few surprises in here! The episode also showcases fans who made up the 501st legion which is a global group of costume fanatics who works as extras in season one!
