Top 10 Signature Dishes at Walt Disney World
If you’ve ever dined at a Walt Disney World restaurant, you understand that each one offers a unique experience with all different kinds of food. Naturally, there are a few dishes that stand out from the rest.
These signature meals are the highlight of the menu of the establishment that provides them, and have proven to be very popular by the number of people who order them. Here is a list of some of Disney’s most famous and sought after dishes!
Cobb Salad – The Hollywood Brown Derby, Hollywood Studios
The most well-known salad in Walt Disney World is “Our Famous Cobb Salad” at The Hollywood Brown Derby. The name says it all; this salad is famous, and for good reason.
Outside of the greens, this salad is served with turkey, bacon, egg, tomatoes, blue cheese, and a delicious Cobb dressing that makes this salad a truly exquisite meal. If you’re going to dine at The Hollywood Brown Derby, ordering this meal is a must.
Peking Duck – Morimoto Asia, Disney Springs
If you want to try the Peking Duck from Morimoto Asia, you’ll need to share it with someone else as it serves two people. This meal is beautifully displayed and is desired by many who eat at this restaurant.
The Peking Duck has become the meal the restaurant is known for, and you can even see the ducks roasting in the window as you pass by.
Canadian Cheddar Cheese Soup – Le Cellier Steakhouse, Canada Pavilion, Epcot
Though this dish is only an appetizer, it’s still the best part of the meal for many who dine at Le Cellier. In fact, it could be considered by some to be the best appetizer at Walt Disney World.
Its rich, cheesy flavor is enhanced by smoked bacon bits to make it taste even better. It’s hard to find a soup at Disney to compare with this one.
Indian-style Bread Service – Sanaa, Animal Kingdom Lodge
I bet you didn’t expect to see bread on this list, but Sanaa has one of the best bread services you will find anywhere. It’s what the restaurant is known for by many Disney fans.
If you order this bread service, you will have the choice of five different types of bread, and your choices will be brought out with nine different accompaniments. You wouldn’t expect the bread before your meal to be so extravagant, but that’s exactly what you get when you order this service.
Snow Crab Legs – Cape May Cafe, Beach Club Resort
You know a food item is popular when it starts out being served twice a week, but then becomes served daily. The crab legs at Cape May Cafe used to run out so quickly every night at the buffet, and they were and still are the most popular item the restaurant serves.
If you walk around the restaurant, you’ll see almost every table has the bucket on their table filled with these crab legs; they’re that good!
Ahi Tuna Nachos – Yak & Yeti, Animal Kingdom
Another dish on this list that’s meant for two, the Ahi Tuna Nachos at Yak & Yeti are delicious. In a menu filled with various mouthwatering meals, this one tends to attract the most people.
It’s a unique dish, as it takes normal nachos and brings them to the next level. If you love nachos and you love ahi tuna, this is a must try.
Fried Chicken & Doughnuts – Chef Art Smith’s Homecomin’, Disney Springs
You’d think chicken and waffles would be one of the crazier food combinations you’ve seen, but how about chicken and doughnuts?
At Chef Art Smith’s Homecomin’, you can enjoy two pieces of this restaurant’s famous fried chicken, house-made sugar doughnuts, and mashed potatoes all on the same plate! This dish is unique to this restaurant and is the one meal here everyone should try at least once.
Whole Fried Fish – Skipper Canteen, Magic Kingdom
The name says it all; if you want to have a whole fried fish, look no further than Skipper Canteen. What makes this dish so signature to this restaurant is that they actually serve the fish to you how it looks, rather than serving you a slab of fish meat like most restaurants do.
If you’re a seafood lover, this is a meal you should try. Don’t be intimidated by its appearance: it’s delicious!
Tonga Toast – Kona Cafe, Polynesian Village Resort
The only breakfast item on this list, Tonga Toast is unlike any other french toast you’ve had. It is much taller and wider than normal french toast, glazed in cinnamon sugar and stuffed with bananas.
It’s absolutely delicious, and the reason many people keep going back to Kona Cafe. This is a savory, mouthwatering meal to anyone who loves breakfast food.
Grilled Three-Cheese Sandwich – Woody’s Lunch Box, Hollywood Studios
Woody’s Lunch Box is relatively new Quick Service location in Walt Disney World, but it already has a signature meal that everyone loves. Their Grilled Three-Cheese Sandwich is made with melted provolone, cheddar, and American cheese.
This meal is perfect for kids and adults to enjoy, and is already considered one of the best food options in all of Hollywood Studios.
