Cheesesteak Rebellion? Ope! Especially in Green Bay
As the world begins to re-open, the proliferation of Star Wars-themed, well, stuff brings me hope.
Yesterday, we wrote about the return of Star Wars: A New Hope to drive-in movie screens in Chicago.
Well, now it’s the CheeseHeads’ turn.
Yes, it’s a Cheesesteak Rebellion in Green Bay, Wisconsin.
What Is A Cheesesteak Rebellion?
Happening in a galaxy not so far, far away is the reopening of a beloved Star Wars themed restaurant.

I saw the headline, imbibed the words Cheesesteak Rebellion, and swooned. Literally.

Happening in a galaxy not so far, far away- a Star Wars-themed restaurant is reopening its doors.
‘Cheesesteak Rebellion,’ located off South Broadway in Green Bay, is striking back with the return of their out-of-this-world cheesesteak sandwiches. The locally-owned restaurant is reopening its doors for dine-in services as of 11:00 this morning after having to temporarily close due to the coronavirus pandemic…
“We did a lot of carry-out and that was really good, we were really blessed right when we started opening back up,” says Owen Gorzelanczyk, one of the cooks at Cheesesteak Rebellion. “I mean, the response we had was amazing- people were flooding back to get their favorite sandwich in town so it meant a lot to us.”
Um. Yum.

Okay, I’ll start with a Rebel Chili, add some Dark Side steak fries, and — of course — The Falcon. Punch it, Chewie. Do you think they deliver to Boston?
