Loki, Falcon and The Winter Solider Return to Filming
After a halt in filming for the Disney+ Marvel series Loki and Falcon and Winter Solider reports confirm both shows will return to filming in July. This announcement comes on the heels of Wandavision also beginning filming again next month.
“We were all excited by recent news Paul Bettany had to cancel a July comiccon due to WandaVision filming,” Murphy’s Multiverse writer Lizzie Hill tweeted. “I’ve just learned that [Loki] and [The Falcon and the Winter Soldier] are also expected to continue filming in July. This is a new source for me & I must keep it anon but I believe it!”
Falcon and Winter Solider filming stopped briefly in January due to an earthquake in Puerto Rico where the series was filming at the time. Additional cities included Atlanta and Prague before the final shutdown in March due to the COVID-19 outbreak. Loki filming stopped in March as well.
Both shows, as well as WandaVision, are expected to tie into events of the MCU’s Phase Four lineup, which includes Black Widow, The Eternals, Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings and Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness. (cbr.com)
Falcon and Winter Solider starring Anthony Mackie, Sebastian Stan, Emily VanCamp, Wyatt Russell, Noah Mills, Carl Lumbly and Daniel Brühl is set to arrive on Disney+ in August of 2020.
Loki stars Tom Hiddleston, Owen Wilson, Sophia Di Martino, Gugu Mbatha-Raw and Richard E. Grant and is not expected until 2021.
There is no word on whether or not the delays will result in a delayed premiere date for either show.
