Walt Disney World Extends Expiration Date on Park Tickets

If you were one of the unfortunate ones who had their Walt Disney World vacation impacted by the COVID-19 crisis, Disney originally stated that anyone who had tickets would have the expiration date on them extended to December 15, 2020. However, per a recent update, those tickets will no be valid until September 26, 2021.

Per the official Walt Disney World website:

Partially used multi-day theme parks tickets with usage window impacted by park closure, or date-specific them park tickets purchased through June 6, 2020 with a valid use period beginning March 12, 2020 or later, will automatically be extended to use any date through September 26, 2021. If you are unable to visit by September 26, 2021, you may apply the value of a wholly unused ticket toward the purchase of a ticket for a future date.

Florida Resident Disney Disney Tickets many be used through September 30, 2020.

Walt Disney World is scheduled to to reopen their theme parks beginning on July 11, 2020 with Disney’s Animal Kingdom and the Magic Kingdom. Then, on July 15, 2020, Disney’s Hollywood Studios and EPCOT will reopen to Guests. Enhanced healthy and safety protocols will be in place upon reopening including the requirement of face coverings and socially distanced guidelines among others. A pre-made reservation will also be required through a new reservation system in order to gain entry into the Parks.
