Major League Soccer (MLS) to Resume Season with Tournament at Walt Disney World Next Month
While everyone has been watching the NBA to see if/when they will be restarting their season at Walt Disney World, it appears that Major League Soccer (MLS) will also be coming to the Resort as well!
Looks like Orlando is a GO for @MLS and @MLSPA.

Per ESPN.com, MLS players and staff will arrive at Walt Disney World in three weeks. The tournament will being in July at the ESPN Wide World of Sport Complex. All teams will participate in the tournament. There will be a 3 game group state which will count towards the regular season and then a 16 team knock-out stage to follow.

As we reported yesterday, I think it is likely that the MLS teams and staff will be staying at Disney’s Animal Kingdom Villas – Jambo House. (It appears the NBA will be staying at Disney’s Coronado Springs Resort.) However, nothing is official at this time.
The Major League Soccer Player’s Association (MLSPA), released the following statement regarding the restart of the season among the current climate in the country:
