Are Holiday Parties at Walt Disney World Still a Go This Year?
A lot of information has been thrown at us over the past week regarding Walt Disney World’s reopening. With each bit of information announced, it seems like we have 10 more questions. One of those big questions is about the themed Holiday Parties in the Magic Kingdom including Mickey’s Not So Scary Halloween Party and Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party.
One of the main draws of the Holiday Parties at Walt Disney World is the parades and fireworks. We do know, that upon the reopening of the Parks, both of these experiences will be suspended. However, these experiences won’t be suspended forever so it’s just as matter as when they will be back. The first Mickey’s Not So Scary Halloween Party is mid-August this year, so we are hopeful things might be a little more “normal” by then.
As we reported the other day, Walt Disney World has cancelled all dining reservations, FastPasses, and other experiences Guests may have already booked. However, we can confirm, at least at this time, that tickets for Mickey’s Not SO Scary Halloween Party are still showing as valid on My Disney Experience. New ticket sales for the Halloween parties have been halted though.
As for Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party, tickets had never gone on sale when the Parks started closing for the COVID19- outbreak back in March.
It is possible that the parties will still go on as planned but with much lower numbers to enforce a limited Park capacity. For Mickey’s Not So Scary Halloween Party, they might stop selling tickets all together and for those who already have them, they will be permitted entrance. Select parties might have sold less tickets and maybe they will sell some more for those.
It’s still too hard to know what will happen with Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party and if/when tickets will go on sale.
Since this is all such a fluid situation, things can change by the minute including these popular holiday parties at Walt Disney World. Make sure to keep it right here with MickeyBlog.com for all the latest!
