Walt Disney World Updates Guidelines for Face Coverings
As we have reported, Walt Disney World is requiring all Guests and Cast Members to wear face coverings while at Disney Springs and in the Parks. They have since come out and announced that face coverings will be required by all unless you are dining or swimming. In addition, Disney is now requiring all Guests 2 and up to wear one. Previously, it was all 3 and up.
Walt Disney World has released the following guidelines for appropriate face coverings:
- Fully cover an individual’s nose and mouth and allow the Guest to remain hands-free
- Fit snugly but comfortably against the side of the face
- Be secured with ties or ear loops
- Be made of breathable material, either disposable or reusable
Costume masks are not considered appropriate and are prohibited from being worn, in alignment with our existing rules.
Walt Disney World states that all Guests will be required to provide their own face coverings. You can find some really cool Disney-themed ones on shopDisney.com!
Face coverings is just one of several changes Guests will experience on their next Walt Disney World vacation. To focus on Guests and Cast Members health and safety, Disney has implemented new social distancing and sanitizing guidelines. To ensure restaurants and Parks operate at a limited capacity, they also have just cancelled dining reservations, FastPasses, and experiences for all Guests scheduled to travel in 2020.
