Real Estate Developer Tells Us How Much These Famous Disney Homes Would Cost In Real Life
Insider shared a post that is absolutely genius and we were excited to pass it on to you. A real estate broker looked at some of Disney’s most iconic fictional properties and gave a real-life evaluation as to home much these incredible properties might cost and their answer will surprise you.
According to Mojo Mortgages via Insider, the prices we’re about to share are based on their estimated real-life locations and the costs of similar homes in the area.
Let’s take a look:
Sultan’s Palace From Aladdin
We know that the Sultan’s Palace from Aladdin was loosely modelled after the Taj Mahal. With 12 incredible towers, walled gardens and more, Mojo Mortgage sets a value of $975.9 for the fictional residence of Aladdin and Jasmine and say the property would be located in India.
Beast’s Castle from Beauty and the Beast
The enchanted property from this beloved Disney film is nested in a deep forest with good travel routes to the nearest village. It also boasts 60 rooms including a stunning ballroom. Other highlights include a library with floor to ceiling books and 90 acres of land. That’s why it’s not surprising the Mojo valued this property at $36.6 million.
Beasts sprawling estate is supposedly modelled after the Chateau De Chambord in France which you can see an image of below.
Mojo Mortgages valuation was based on the prices of similar castles for sale in France. A premium price tag was given for its mountain-top location in the film.
King’s Castle – Cinderella
Not only is this grand castle the inspiration for the iconic Cinderella Castle at Walt Disney World but according to reports, it would come in at a cool $18.3 million. The broker said that the property would likely be located in Germany. Its highlights would include, “Built in late-gothic style, the castle features 27 white towers, more than 20 rooms, a private moat, and a wedding chapel.
If you’ve ever ridden EPCOT’s Soarin’ attraction then you know, the influence for this iconic building came from Neuschwanstein Castle in Bavaria. To get to this valuation, Mojo looked at similar properties for sale in Bavaria area, and added a premium pricetag taking into account the private moat and wedding chapel.
Arendelle Castle – Frozen
Next up is what has to be my favorite Disney castle from the magical world of Arendelle. Mojo Mortgages values the property at $14.6 million. They said of the property, “With unrivaled harbor views, this private gated castle is set in a beautiful location with some of the most stunning grounds you could ever imagine. The castle features a bridge that allows its owners to easily connect to the main town, and has a number of rooms, including a ballroom, a great hall and even a library. Outdoor space is just as extensive with a courtyard and stables as just some of its key features.”
Though we know that the land Frozen is set in bears a striking resemblance to Norway, and the town Arendelle even derives its name from Arendal, a real place southwest of Oslo in Norway, However, the castle bears a striking resemblance to Eltz Castle in Germany which features a siliar design as you can see above and was used in the valuation.
Prince Eric’s Castle from The Little Mermaid.
Anyone who has walked around the corner of New Fantasyland at the Magic Kingdom for the first glimpse of Prince Eric’s castle knows that it’s absolutely breathtaking. So how much would it set back today’s modern-day princess?
According to Mojo Mortages, The castle would come in at a cool $12.2 million. It’s cliffside location, unrivaled sea views and direct access to the beach make it an enviable property. It’s not uncommon for costal properties to attract 7 figures. Add to that the three floors, balconies and private docking area and you have yourself a very special place!
