6 Restaurants You Have To Visit Now That Disney Springs is Reopen
The day has arrived! Disney Springs has officially opened its gates to visitors meaning that some of our favorite eateries have re-opened. Guests visiting over the next few weeks can expect reduced capacity and enhanced sanitation and social distancing procedures but its a small price to pay for some truly amazing food. To provide you with some dining inspiration we thought we’d give you a half a dozen of our favorite restaurants that will be reopening this week!
Make your reservations and pop on over!
The BOATHOUSE
Nothing conjures up the feeling of being on a tropical island getaway quite like a visit to The BOATHOUSE. This is one of THE best places at Disney Springs to go for seafood. Some of our favorite dishes include the Hoisin Chili Calamari, Mahi Tacos and the Maine Lobster Roll. Guests will find plentiful indoor and outdoor seating, a gift shop and Amphicars! These amazing classic convertible cars effortlessly go from land to lake making a fun and memorable ride for the whole family! BOATHOUSE has announced that you can make reservations now and that some walk-ups will be available for patio seating only! You can find out more here.
Morimoto Asia
This eatery is the one Disney Springs restaurant is the one that is a must-do every time my family visits Orlando. Chef Morimoto announced that this Pan-Asian eatery will be opening this week, however not until Friday. Upon opening, the restaurant will have a limited menu but we can report that all of our favorites are there. The Orange Chicken never disappoints and the Morimoto spare ribs are the stuff of legend. Start it all off with an order of the pork dumplings and you’re well on track for a perfect lunch or dinner. You’ll also find some mighty fine cocktails and a contemporary dining room that really has that wow factor. To find out more or to make reservations head here.
Wine Bar George
How do I love Wine Bar George? Let me count the ways. The best wine list in Florida, fantastic charcuterie, laid back atmosphere-this Disney Springs watering hole has it all! We’re delighted that Master Sommelier George Miliotes is opening back up this week and you should be to. Head over to Wine Bar George for a glass or bottle of wine and some great cuisine. You’ll find everything on the menu from short ribs to see bass but the cheese and charcuterie platters are truly where it’s at! They also serve up a boozy Frozcato with Dole Whip Pineapple. Its a Dole Whip for grown-ups and doesn’t disappoint!
The Polite Pig
If you love barbecue as much as I do then you’ll want to make this beloved eatery your first port-of-call. The Polite Pig has a cult-like following among Disney regulars and its easy to understand why! Start with the Spiced Pork Rinds (I promise you they’re amazing) before moving on to their Beef Brisket, Cedar Plank Salmon, or Baby Back Ribs. There’s also a tantalizing array of awesome sides including our favorite the sweet potato tots. There’s also an array of BBQ sauces so fine that you’ll want to take a bottle or two home with you. Reservations aren’t necessary and you can pre-order online. Find out more here.
Chicken Guy
When Guy Fieri’s fast-food chicken eatery opened up adjacent to Planet Hollywood recently, it was not uncommon to see lines snaking their way through Disney Springs. So much so that the restaurant had to expand to accommodate all those visitors clamouring for some of the tasty menu items! The chicken fingers are the big draw here and with a wide array of delicious sauces they are pretty wonderful. Pair them with some Chicken Guy fries seasoned to perfection and you’ve got the perfect lunch. Other dishes like loaded fries (with chicken tenders and a range of other toppings) and the Mac and Cheese (also heaped high with chicken tenders) are definitely worth checking out. Be prepared to wait in line though. For a full look at the menu stop by here.
STK
STK is about as trendy as steakhouses get. With patio seating, a contemporary dining room and even a DJ on hand to spin tunes while you dine the vibe is definitely New York meets Beverly Hills. The eatery also boasts some pretty impressive grub and should be the go-to spot for those looking for steak. The restaurant is currently updating their menu but if you see any of their stunning filets, their Wagyu flat iron, Bison burger or coffee-rubbed ribeye order them up! You can thank us later. Also this is a great spot to order up a crafty cocktail. For brunch, we’re partial to the Cucumber Stiletto which features Ketel One Citroen, St Germain, muddled cucumber and mint.
