Disney Releases COVID-19 Disclaimer Prior to Disney Springs Reopening
Just a few days before Disney World plans to reopen Disney Springs to the public, they released a statement to potential visiting guests.
Disney Springs announced that they are beginning a phased reopening starting on May 20th. After taking all of the government and health officials guidance into account, an initial phase of a limited number of 3rd party shopping and dining experiences will begin to open.

“An inherent risk of exposure to COVID-19 exists in any public place where people are present. COVID-19 is an extremely contagious disease that can lead to severe illness and death,” stated in the disclaimer on the Disney World website.
Disney Springs will begin to reopen in a way that incorporates enhanced safety measures. This includes increasing cleaning procedures, the use of appropriate face coverings by both cast members and guests, limited-contact guest services and additional safety training for cast members.
Cast Members are already working on training and becoming familiar with these new protocols. Cast Members will be on hand at Disney Springs just to answer any questions you may have and to make sure everyone is following these protocols and guidelines.
When Disney Springs reopens on May 20, restaurants and retail locations not owned by Disney will reopen at this time following the protocols and guidelines above. It will not be until May 27, when three Disney-owned retail stores and restaurants reopen.
