Disney Family Singalong Part 2 Had Only Half the Ratings of Part 1
If you’ve been following along with MickeyBlog then you know that last night marked the return of the Disney Family Singalong. Though this one hour Mother’s Day singalong celebration brought in some amazing talent including Halsey, Idina Menzel, Katy Perry, the live-action cast of The Lion King and more, it failed to pull in the ratings of its predecessor.
According to a recent piece in Variety, the show brought in a 1.3 rating among adults in the 18-49 age range and 5.7 million viewers in total. To put that in perspective the original singalong had a 2.6 rating and boasted over 10.3 million viewers.
However, it should be noted that despite lower viewers than before, the Singalong still came out as the top-viewed show on Sunday evening. Here’s a look at the Neilsen ratings for the show.
As with the original, we fully expect the Singalong to migrate over to Disney+, Disney’s official streaming network where you can watch it in its entirety. We’ll also be sharing some of the highlights with you here at MickeyBlog so keep checking in with us.
