Two New Directors Announced For Season 2 of “The Mandalorian”
During Disney+’s inaugural season of The Mandalorian, some of Hollywood’s finest directors stepped up to tackle episodes including Taika Waititi, Bryce Dallas Howard and more! According to a recent piece on Yahoo Movies UK, it’s looking like the upcoming season is shaping up to be more of the same.
Two directors took to Twitter recently to confirm that they will be at the helm. The first is Ant-Man director Peyton Reed and the second is Robert Rodriguez director of films like Sin City and last year’s Alita: Battle Angel.
Reed posted this shot of his director’s chair:

Rodriguez posed with Baby Yoda and captioned the photo,: “I am truly humbled to say I have now had the very rare privilege of directing the biggest star in the universe.”

In addition, Jon Favreau who wrote the show and served as the showrunner for the film has also announced that he will be directing at least one of the episodes. The second season will also mark the return of Dave Filoni who is a producer for Star Wars Rebels and also directed two episodes of The Mandalorian season 1.
As we previously reported here at MickeyBlog, there have been a few new casting announcements as well. Most noteworthy is Rosario Dawson stepping into the role of Ahsoka Tano a fan favorite from the Clone Wars and Rebels animated series.
Another new addition will be Michael Biehn which sci-fi fans will know from Terminator and Aliens.
The second series, which of course will also see Pedro Pascal return to the role of Mando is set to appear on Disney+ later this year! Readers are encouraged to keep following along with d for more updates about this and other Disney+ shows.
