Security Host Elio Gives Us a Look at Hollywood Studios During Park Closure
If you were following Walt Disney World on Twitter yesterday then you were in for very special behind-the-scenes treat compliments of Hollywood Studios Security Host Elio. While doing his rounds yesterday, he decided to share some images with us of how Hollywood Studios was looking yesterday and they are definitely giving us the feels!
As you know, Hollywood Studios along with the rest of Walt Disney World has been closed since March due to the COVID-19 pandemic. As of going to print, Disney World has yet to announce a reopening date meaning these shots are a sight for sore eyes! Let’s check them out!
Hello Walt Disney World fans! I’m Security Host Elio from #DisneysHollywoodStudios and as my team helps protect the magic with the park temporarily closed, they’ve given me the honor of showing you around today! #DisneyCastLife pic.twitter.com/Y1n0XGz6xG

Elio started his tour with a look at Mickey & Minnie’s Runaway Railway at the replica of the iconic Chinese Theater right at the center of the park. This indoor ride marks the first Walt Disney World attraction to feature Mickey and opened shortly before the theme parks were shuttered due to social distancing.
Thought I’d check and see how my counterparts at Muppet*Vision 3D are doing. -Elio #DisneysHollywoodStudios #DisneyCastLife pic.twitter.com/V2yqhnXDg2

Then it was over to MuppetVision 3D to check up on Kermit, Miss Piggy, Gonzo and the rest of the gang. But sadly the were out. However, they did post a sign with a note on where Elio could find the key!
I’m a huge @StarWars fan, so I love stopping by the AT-AT at Star Tours while making my rounds. -Elio #DisneysHollywoodStudios #DisneyCastLife pic.twitter.com/s4zoYzOSIp

Next, it was off to a galaxy far, far away with Star Tours! We Love to see the AT-AT Walker towering in the distance!

But that’s not the only Star Wars attraction in town. Could it be that Elio also popped over to Batuu to see how the Stormtroopers at Rise of the Resistance were doing at protecting the place!?

Showing that he has an amazing sense of humor, Elion posed for a shot at the Hollywood Tower of Terror lobby and it is STILL making us here at MickeyBlog HQ chuckle.
Hey it’s Elio again. Hope you’ve enjoyed this look inside #DisneysHollywoodStudios! Wonder what my fellow Security cast members @Disneyland are up to today … #DisneyCastLife pic.twitter.com/YjwC675aVW

And last but not least he shared this stunning shot of the outside of the Tower Hotel before handing it off to his Disneyland counterpart! (We’ll get to that later today!)
We don’t know about you but we loved following Elio around Hollywood Studios during his security round and we definitely hope that he makes a return soon or that we get an evening look at some of the other theme parks.
