New Episodes of Mira!
Disney Junior has three new episodes of Mira, Royal Detective planned for the month of May. Mira, the new animated show from Disney Junior, features a young girl who is appointed Royal Detective in the Indian-inspired kingdom of Jalpur.
The show has revolved around key Indian cultural themes like the importance of family, food and traditions. So, it is only appropriate the new episodes are released during Asian Pacific American Awareness Month (May). The episodes air the first three Fridays of May on Disney Junior, The Disney Channel and DisneyNOW.
Guest voices have been an important part of Mira. Celebrity chef, Aarti Sequeira, voiced the character of Chef Shobha in a recent episode. The new May episodes will include characters voiced by Kunal Nayyar (The Big Bang Theory) and Rizwan Manji (Schitt’s Creek). Both actors will be in the May 15th episode.
In addition to the new episodes debuting in May, there will also be a new short-form series featuring Mira. These shorts, called “We’re on the Case”, will follow Mira and her two mongoose friends as they solve mysteries and highlight the culture of India. Mikku and Chikku, mongoose sidekicks, add all kinds of silliness and fun to Mira’s adventures. The first short debuts May 1st.
