Character Dining Has Returned to Hong Kong Disneyland
We are excited to confirm that character dining has returned to Hong Kong Disneyland! Although, it’s a tad bit different than the character dining experiences we are accustomed to.
Beginning today, April 30 to May 3, 2020, Guests are invited for a character dining experience at the Enchanted Garden Restaurant at the Hong Kong Disneyland Hotel for an “all you can eat” lunch and dinner experience. Lunch will be offered from noon to 4 pm and dinner is offered from 6 to 10 pm.

This is the official announcement from the Hong Kong Disneyland website regarding the character dining experience:
Escape from reality, walk under an ornate wrought-iron archway and proceed through a trellised hallway flourished with magical vines and flowers. Arrive in a lovely Victorian setting and enjoy a cornucopia of delicious dishes, Asian and Western classics (e.g. Seafood on Ice, Cold Appetizers & Salads, Assorted Sashimi, International Cuisine, Chinese Flavors, Asian Specialties, Kid’s Meals and Desserts). What’s more, enjoy special appearances by our popular Disney Characters from time to time and snap some photos of them from your table to capture the happy moment.
Entertain your taste buds and your imagination with yummy dishes at the Enchanted Garden Restaurant during the long weekend! Taste the magic of “all you can eat” inspired by cuisines from around the world. And for the grand finale, indulge in some sumptuous desserts, for a sweet happily ever after!
✨Mickey & his pals return to #HongKongDisneylandHotel to greet guests under special arrangements to maintain social distancing amongst guests and cast members. Here’s the catch though. While the characters might be on hand, Guests will have to socially distance themselves from them and photos with them will not be permitted at this time. The characters will come in and pose for pictures while making their way around the dining room. While not ideal, something is better than nothing!

While character might have started again at Hong Kong Disneyland, the Parks are still closed until further notice. However, there have been signs of life around the property in recent days including the set up of “socially distanced” queues for attractions.
Let’s hope the re-introduction of character dining at Hong Kong Disneyland is a step in the right direction to get the Disney Parks around the world back up and open!
