Marvel’s Quinjet Has Arrived at Disney California Adventure
Though the theme parks may be currently shuttered on both coasts, there’s been an exciting development over at Disney California Adventure today. The Orange County Register has recently shared photos, taken by Disney fan site MiceChat of the Marvel Quinjet which has been spotted at the Avengers Campus.
The Campus, which was slated to open this summer, has seen its opening date pushed back due to the COVID-19 pandemic. However, it still looks like things are moving ahead ever so slightly if this image, taken by Disney blog, MiceChat is anything to go by.
As you can see from MiceChat’s image above, the Quinjet is covered on the construction site near the backstage area located next to Mission: Breakout! For more photos, we recommend you visit the MiceChat here!
As we previously mentioned here at MickeyBlog, the new Avengers Campus will be located between Cars Land and Hollywood Land. It will feature a new Spider-Man WEB Slingers attraction, Doctor Strange Stage Show, and an eatery themed after the Ant-Man films. Just before the pandemic, Disney was holding open auditions for many superhero roles as the land will feature stunt shows, character meet and greets and more!
As you can see from the image (top) the Quinjet will actually sit on the roof of a new building in the Avengers Campus that will serve as an entrance/gift shop for an as yet un-named Avengers attraction. Disney has remained tight-lipped about the attraction but we do know that it will happen in the Phase 2 development and will open after the Campus opens to the public.
For those that may not know exactly what a Quinjet is, its a highly advance jet frequently used by SHIELD, Avengers and Strike teams in the Marvel Universe. It uses some pretty awesome tech, boasts wings with twin turbine fans and over the years has evolved to have an impressive arsenal.
As of going to print, there is no news yet as to when the Disney Parks will re-open or when construction will resume on the Avengers Campus. What we do know is that the previous opening date of July 18th for the Campus has been delayed.
This is a story we’ll be following closely, readers are encouraged to keep following along with MickeyBlog for the latest news and updates.
