Walt Disney World Removes Park Hours Through Mid-May
As the COVID-19 crisis continues to unfold, we have been trying to keep you abreast of any changes to the park hours at Walt Disney World as it might give us some insight to when the day we are waiting for is upon us. And, of course that day is when the Parks will reopen!
Last week, we reported that Walt Disney World had removed park hours for the first part of May with hours beginning to be listed again as of Sunday, May 10. We also reported yesterday that Guests with hotel reservations between May 10 to May 16, were auto-cancelled by Disney.
Today, it appears that Walt Disney World has once again amended their hours for May 2020. As you can see on the image below, park hours now resume on Sunday, May 17, 2020.
There is tons of speculation out there on when will Walt Disney World reopen. And, while we would love for a mid-May reopening, nothing is official until Disney confirms it. We can look to these park hours updates as some guidance but like they have been doing, it’s definitely possible more days can be removed from their schedule pushing the official re-opening back even further.
In some good news, the governor of Florida, Ron DeSantis, was quoted this week as saying that Walt Disney World is “far ahead of the curve” when it comes to reopening. We can hope that this means our beloved Parks will be opening sooner rather than later!
Make sure to keep following along with us here at MickeyBlog.com for all the latest on Walt Disney World and the ongoing COVID-19 crisis. If more park hours are removed for May, you will be the first to know! Along, with when that official reopening day is confirmed by Disney.
