How The Disney Parks Celebrate Earth Day Today and All Year Round
Admittedly it is a rather subdued Earth Day but a momentous one nonetheless. Today we are celebrating 50 years of this fantastic day where we recognize and pay tribute to this amazing planet we live on.
Each year, Disney’s Animal Kingdom is the go-to spot for Earth Day celebrations. However, this year, we’ll celebrate from our living rooms or back gardens. But don’t worry. Disney is there celebrating right along with us. Just check out this video:
This year Disney is celebrating nearly 3 decades of environment and sustainability initiatives. This includes implementing programs to support a reduction of waste and emissions as well as water and resource conservation. As part of Disney’s ongoing commitment to the environment and conservation, the company is always exploring and implementing new ways to promote sustainability.
As you can see from these awesome infographics, the efforts have meant that Disney has made incredible progress toward conserving natural resources and protecting the magic of nature for generations to come.
This year also marks the 25th Anniversary of the Disney Conservation Fund who works tirelessly in lending support to nonprofit organizations around the world in their efforts to save wildlife, inspire advocacy and protect the planet.
