5 Incredible Disney Shows That You Won’t Want To Miss This Week
As we celebrate Earth Week from the comfort of home, there are lots of fantastic programs that are worth checking out. The week kicks off with the season final of one of our favorite shows Cosmos: Possible Worlds and ends with the 2020 NFL Draft.
Check out 5 programming highlights that are simply not-to-be-missed during the week ahead:
Cosmos: Possible Worlds—Monday, April 20, at 8 p.m. on National Geographic
The season finale “Seven Wonders of the New World” looks at the World’s Fair of the future. You’ll get a first look at the dazzling pavilions of the 2039 New York World’s Fair where engineers are tackling seemingly intractable problems. However, through public commitment and scientific imagination anything is possible.
Born Wild: The Next Generation—Wednesday, April 22, at 8 p.m. on National Geographic and Nat Geo WILD
Wednesday (April 22nd) is officially the 50th Anniversary of Earth Day. To celebrate National Geographic is screening a one-hour special hosted by Disney Legend Robin Roberts. He’ll present stories of hope and offer a look at our planet’s next generation of baby animals and their ecosystems. The special features National Geographic Explorers, photographers and a guest appearance from Chris Hemsworth. ABC News Correspondents will also take viewers on a journey to stunning locations including Australia, California, Canada, Hawaii, Sri Lanka and more. It’s the perfect way to explore (with your family) the diversity of baby animals, their families and their habitats.
Jane Goodall: The Hope—Wednesday, April 22, at 9 p.m. on National Geographic and Nat Geo WILD
This 2-hour show pays tribute to Dr. Jane Goodall, a global icon in the fields of animal welfare and conservation. This celebration of Dr. Goodall’s 40 years of advocacy work for chimpanzees follows Goodall throughout her travels. It’s perfect at capturing her relentless commitment and determination. It also brilliantly captures her transition from scientist to activist including the obstacles she had to face along the way. The 2-hour documentary features an extensive collection of photographs and footage spanning over 7 decades.
