The series follows the hijinks of two brothers who must navigate through life while living at a hotel and then on a boat!?
Star Wars: The Clone Wars – Seasons 1-7
If you’ve yet to check out this Emmy-award-winning animated series, there’s still time as it approaches its final season. This animated show has been a fan favorite since it first premiered back in 2008. The seven spectacular seasons are known for their awesome female characters, cutting edge computer animation and the timeless battle between good and evil that the franchise is so well known for.
The Simpsons – Seasons 1-30
That’s right! Probably the biggest treasure to come out of Disney’s acquisition of Fox (at least in our opinion) was the 30 glorious season of The Simpsons which you can now find on Disney’s streaming channel. There’s been a couple of issues with viewing ratios meaning the crops on Disney+ tend to cut off some of the action but Disney has vowed all episodes will be fixed by the end of May. That means now is the perfect time to catch up with Homer, Marge, Bart, Lisa, Maggie and the rest of the gang!
Mickey Mouse Shorts – Seasons 1-5
Sadly the closing of the Disney theme parks took a bit of the lustre away from Mickey and Minnie’s Runaway Railway which was the first attraction to pay tribute to this incredible series of shorts. Launched back in 2013, each episode clocks in at around 5 minutes meaning that you can speed through all five seasons quite quickly and bask in your sense of accomplishment!
Life Below Zero – Seasons 1-14
If you’ve ever dreamed of living off the land in the Alaskan wilderness than this show is for you. The cinematography of this National Geographic program never ceases to amaze. The show follows homesteaders as the fight the elements to live in the most remote corners of the state.
The Incredible Dr. Pol – Seasons 1-16
Dr. Jan Pol has been a practicing veterinarian medicine for more than half his life. In 1981 he and his wife, Diane, opened a vet business out of their home, and over the years it has grown to service more than 19,000 clients. Set in Central Michigan’s farm country, this reality series follows the work done at Pol Veterinary Services. Specializing in large farm animals, Dr. Pol treats horses, pigs, cows, sheep, alpacas, goats, chickens and even an occasional reindeer.
Duck Tales – 1987 Version Seasons 1-2, 2017 Version Series 1 & 2
If life is feeling like a little bit of a hurricane just now then take a deep breath and chill out with some of your favorite Disney friends. Disney+ is currently home to both the original 80s version of the show as well as the new 2017 version which features a HILARIOUS David Tennant as Scrooge McDuck. You can’t go wrong and the fun hijinks in both will have you laughing for hours on end.
Dr. Oakley, Yukon Vet – Seasons 1-7
We’ve been to the wilds of Alaska and now its time to head over to the equally majestic and rugged landscapes of the Yukon for where Dr. Oakley treats animals big and small with the help of her daughters.
Brain Games – Seasons 1-8
Don’t let that brain get idle while sitting at home. National Geographic’s Brain Games will put your mind to the test with awesome experiments on what makes your brains tick. Keegan Michael Key with the help of some celebrity friends will explore the science of perception, illusion, memory, attention, stress, morality and so much more.
Boy Meets World – 7 Seasons
If you’re a child of the 90s then we reckon you grew up with Cory and Topanga. Thankfully you can take a walk down memory lane with all seven seasons of the show. If you end up craving more by the end of it then also consider watching Girl Meets World following Cory and Topanga’s daughter Riley for her own coming of age story.
Americans Funniest Home Videos- Seasons 12-19
Love it or hate it, this show which has been around for 30 years is about as American as apple pie! We suspect today’s social media platforms like TikTok wouldn’t exist without a bit of inspiration from this ABC mainstay. It remains the perfect, uncomplicated show at the end of a long day and is always good for a laugh.
The Adventures of the Gummi Bears – Seasons 1-6
The beloved cartoon ran from 1985-1990 and I bet that if you were from Generation X you can probably still remember all the words to the theme song! Luckily all 6 seasons are available on Disney+ giving your plenty of opportunities while social distancing to get reacquainted with the residents of Gummi Glen
So we’ve just given your inspiration for hours of streaming with Disney+, get watching (you can thank us later.) Also, be sure to keep following along with MickeyBlog for the latest Disney news and updates!
