Beyonce Sings “When You Wish Upon A Star” on The Disney Family Singalong
Last night during The Disney Family Singalong on ABC, many celebrities joined together, from their own homes, and performed some of our favorite Disney songs. From Beauty and The Beast to The Little Mermaid, they covered them all. But one that stuck out was Beyonce singing “When You Wish Upon A Star”. I don’t know about you, but that song is special and is the ultimate Disney melody for me.
Beyonce dedicated the song to all of the healthcare workers working endlessly on the front lines fighting the Coronavirus.
“I’m proud and honored to be part of the Disney family and to help present the Disney song singalong in partnership with Feeding America,” Beyoncé said before bursting into song. “I’d like to dedicate this song to all of the healthcare workers who have been working tirelessly to keep us healthy and safe. We greatly appreciate you.”

When she was done with the song, she said “Please hold onto your families tight. Please be safe. Don’t give up hope. We’re gonna get through this. I promise. God bless you.”
Beyonce voiced Nala in the live-action Lion King. She’s on record stating how much that movie meant to her as it was one of her favorites growing up.
“I am still a bit in shock that I’m a part of this film because I grew up watching The Lion King,” she said. “It’s the first Disney movie [that] brought me to tears.”
“Being a mother, my family is my biggest priority,” she continued. “It’s not many films that the parents can go and feel the way I feel about I feel about The Lion King and…pass that legacy on to their kids.”
