Embrace Your Inner Wizard With This Disney-Bounding Look Inspired By ‘Onward’
We’re all for ways to add a bit of Disney magic to our days at home and today we’re looking at another way to do just that! Leslie Kay, creator of the DisneyBound blog has just released a new book, DisneyBound: Dress Disney and Make It Fashion that you must check out!
To celebrate the release of Leslie’s book, Disney has a few tips on how you and your family can create comfy Disney-bounding looks while at home. Best of all, it doesn’t require draining your bank account. Half the fun is incorporating items you already have in your existing wardrobe into your look
What is Disney Bounding? Leslie describes it as making street-wearable fashion that reflects and portrays a Disney character or experience. She adds that it’s all about the Disney community coming together for creativity and inspiration!
So where to start? A quick and easy look (and one perfect for staying at home we might add) draws inspiration from Pixar’s latest film “Onward.” If you haven’t had a chance to see it on Disney+ yet, we recommend you check it out. For a little bit of inspiration, Disney Parks Blog asked Leslie to put together some suggestions on how to rock a slightly grunge look just like Ian and Barley Lightfoot.
Check out some of the options below:
As you can see from the images above, all you need is plaid, plaid and more plaid. So moms and dads, dig through those attic boxes, look for those items from the 90s and you’re all set!
While at home, we recommend you pick up Leslie’s book and start doing a bit of Disney-bounding research. That gives you plenty of time to put some awesome looks together before the theme parks re-open. You can find it here on Amazon for $17.99.
Readers are encouraged to keep following along with MickeyBlog for even more ways to add a bit of Disney magic to your days at home.
