Stars From Disney Channel’s Jessie Reunite in Online Broadcast and Pay Tribute to Cameron Boyce
We absolutely love the sheer variety of awesome content that artists, entertainers and more are putting online while everyone is indoors during the COVID-19 pandemic.
If you’ve yet to check out Seth Rudetsky’s Stars In the House live broadcast then definitely make it part of your must-dos for the week ahead! Rudetsky is a Playbill correspondent and Sirius XM Broadway radio host and is definitely one of the most connected guys on Broadway. His shows are an absolute treasure trove of interviews with famous performers, performances and more! Case in point, Disney Channel fans were in for a HUGE treat this week when the cast of Jessie reunited!
Debby Ryan, Peyton List, Skai Jackson, Karan Brar and Kevin Chamberlin (a three time Tony Award nominee) linked up from their homes for a virtual reunion that had us clapping our hands in delight.

As you can see from the video above, the cast also took time to honor their friend and co-star Cameron Boyce. As you know, Boyce (who also went on to star in the popular Descendants franchise) passed away last year unexpectedly due to complications from epilepsy.
During the interview, Debby Ryan who played the title character in the show reflected on the tight bond she felt with Boyce, “We were so close in age that we were both kind of just going through the same experiences and helping each other figure it out,” she said,
Peyton List added, “He made me such a better person” and recalled that she learned something new from him every day.
It was really touching to see the cast back together and sharing their favorite memories from the set of Jessie which ran on the Disney Channel from 2011 – 2015.
If you loved the interview above then you have to check out starsinthehouse.com. The series launched on March 16th and since then has featured a Whos Who of Broadway talent past and present and many with a Disney connection including: Kristen Anderson Lopez, Kristin Chenoweth, Josh Gad, Johnathan Groff, Lin-Manuel Miranda, Manda Moore, Lea Salonga and more!
Best of all, Stars In The House supports The Actors Fund particularly in raising funds in the face of the COVID-19 virus. You’ll find new shows online daily at 2pm ET and 8PM ET. In addition to incredible acts from stage and screen, Dr Jonathan LaPook (a Chief Medical Correspondent for CBS News) makes regular appearances providing coronavirus updates and advice.
