Hugh Jackman Surprised His Local NYPD Precinct With Pizza Delivery
Sometimes it’s small, under the radar gestures during times of turmoil that can make all the difference in the world. Hugh Jackman who most will know as Wolverine in the X-MEN films decided to pay it forward this week and give back to the New York Police Department who in recent weeks has been on the frontlines of the COVID-19 pandemic which has claimed over 6,000 lives in the city.
On Thursday, the New York Post ran a piece showing local law enforcement smiling with pizza pies in hand!

As you can see from the image above, Jackman sent the pizzas to Manhattan’s 10th precinct. According to the piece in the Post, along with five pizza pies, the actor sent a note reading “Thank you to the heroes of 010 Chelsea’s NYPD, from the Jackmans.” The card was signed by him and his wife Deborra-Lee Furness.
You can check out the note in this official tweet from the precinct.

As you can see from the tweet above the precinct passed their thanks back on to Jackman saying, βA big Thank You to Hugh Jackman @RealHughJackman for delivering pizza to the 10 Precinct! We appreciate the support!β
It’s nice to see this small act of kindness make a big impression on the officers. More than 2,000 police offices have tested positive for the coronavirus in New York City, that includes at least 15 deaths and thousands more out sick.
Hugh Jackman isn’t the only superhero to be using his powers for good. Over the past couple of weeks, we here at MickeyBlog have been sharing some heartwarming stories about Ryan Reynolds and Blake Lively making sizeable donations to Los Angeles food banks as well as New York City hospitals during this time of need.
