NatGeo@Home From National Geographic Announced For Young Explorers
As our favorite science teacher Mr. Ray says, “Welcome aboard, explorers!” National Geographic has debuted a brand new digital hub perfect for for kiddos from Kindergarten through 12th grade. NatGeo@Home gives young explorers science content in an entertaining format. The best part is that all of this digital family friendly fun is completely free!

NatGeo@Home inspires family exploration with ideas and activities for parents and kids to experience together. It not only offers access to videos, games, hands-on activities, and quizzes but it even gives teaches lots of lesson plans to choose from. The new hub also gives access to National Geographic Society’s Learn at Home portal.
The portal provides families with a collection of curated K-12 content that includes skill-building exploration, interactives, and even hands-on activities to do outside. To help navigate the content, National Geographic has organized these resources by grade.
NatGeo@Home – Explorer Classrooms
One of the cool features on the NatGeo@Home hub is the Explorer Classroom! These are live broadcasts that connect students with National Geographic Explorers across all seven continents to bring exploration to life.
Some of these Nat Geo Explorers include documentary photographers, wildlife biologists, conservationists, and cultural anthropologists. You can view upcoming Explorer Classroom sessions here.

As if that wasn’t enough, there are also awesome learning activities being offered through Nat Geo Kids Books. These activities include fun fill-in-the-blank activities and a new series of downloadable worksheets filled with experiments. Plus, there is lost of content from popular book series.
If you have a middle-schooler than you should have them check out the Zeus The Mighty series. Imagine if the Greek mythology gods were replaced by cute talking animals. Interesting right?
Plus, for grades 3-7 i highly recommend the fact-filled Weird But True book series. They contain lost of wacky facts, fascinating information, and lively art to make these books irresistible brain candy for young readers.
